Yes. Thumpy is built on the heart data your Apple Watch records during workouts, sleep, and everyday wear. Another tracker can work only if it syncs heart rate, workouts, and sleep into Apple Health. Without heart data, you can preview the app with clearly-labeled sample data.
Report cards need a heart rate stream. Make sure the workout was recorded with your Watch (not typed in manually), that Thumpy has Health access (Settings app > Privacy & Security > Health > Thumpy), and give the Watch a few minutes to sync after finishing. Workouts under 5 minutes are skipped.
It is how many beats per minute your heart rate falls in the first minute after you stop exercising. Faster drops typically come with better conditioning, which is why it is the headline number on your report cards. Thumpy reads Apple's measurement when available and computes it from your heart rate stream otherwise.
Your overnight signals (HRV, resting heart rate, sleep) came in off your own 30-day usual. Hard training, short sleep, stress, alcohol, or an oncoming cold can all do it. It is an observation about your data, not a diagnosis.
Zones are based on your estimated maximum heart rate (220 minus age). If you know your real max, set it in Settings > Max heart rate and your zones recalculate.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple: Settings app > your name > Subscriptions > Thumpy, or the Manage subscription link inside Thumpy's settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
On your iPhone. Raw heart samples never leave your device; see the privacy policy for the full picture.
No. Thumpy shows your own Apple Watch data for wellness purposes and does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. Talk to your doctor about anything that concerns you.
